Overview

RIXO is an online insurance comparison and brokerage platform serving individual consumers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Founded in 2018 in Prague, the company lets users compare auto, property, life, accident, travel, pet, and liability insurance policies from more than 30 partner carriers and buy or switch coverage directly through its web and native mobile apps.

The company's original and largest line of business is comparison of mandatory and comprehensive auto insurance, since broadened into property, life, accident, travel, pet, and general liability coverage for personal-lines customers. RIXO also provides a contract-management dashboard that consolidates a customer's policies and sends renewal alerts, and it distributes household electricity, gas, mortgage, and consumer-loan comparisons as adjacent products alongside its insurance business.

RIXO's core technical component is the RIXO Index, a proprietary scoring engine that rates the quality of a customer's existing insurance contract from one to ten against alternatives available from its carrier partners, checking contracts across hundreds of parameters; the company attributes roughly a tenfold increase in sales productivity to this automation versus manual comparison. Majority-owned by EMMA Capital Group since a March 2020 acquisition from Home Credit, RIXO has served more than one million users since launch, expanded into Slovakia in 2025, and reported its first quarterly profit in the third quarter of 2025.
