INTERprotección is a corporate insurance, surety-bond, and reinsurance brokerage serving businesses in Mexico, operating alongside a digital insurance subsidiary, inter.mx, that sells auto, medical, and pet insurance directly to individual consumers.
The company places commercial insurance, surety (fianzas) bonds, and reinsurance for corporate clients through its founding entity, Interprotección Agente de Seguros y de Fianzas, and separately runs one of the largest microinsurance programs in Latin America, extending small-ticket coverage to underserved segments of the Mexican population. International placement capacity is supported through brokerage alliances with Macquarie and Gallagher.
Its digital arm, inter.mx, runs on an API-based Open Insurance architecture built to automate the full policy lifecycle - quoting, sale, issuance, onboarding, endorsements, cancellations, and claims - and reported more than 560,000 active policyholders in 2025 and over 1 million Mexicans protected as of February 2026. The subsidiary acquired telemedicine-focused insurtech Segurify to add health services to its digital offering, partnered with Stripe to launch a freemium insurance product, and deployed a conversational AI assistant, Mani AI, for customer support.
