Overview

Wallife is a direct-to-consumer insurance carrier based in Rome, Italy, covering emerging risks created by advances in digital technology and biology -- categories not addressed by traditional insurance products. Founded in 2020 by Fabio Sbianchi and Maria Enrica Angelone, the company operates across Rome, Milan, London, and Zurich and holds regulatory authorization through two entities: Wallife Insurance S.r.l. (insurance agency, Italy) and Wallife Tech AG (technology infrastructure, Switzerland).

The company underwrites three domains: biometrics (fraudulent misuse of facial recognition and fingerprint authentication), genetics (unauthorized exploitation of genetic data), and biohacking (risks arising from implantable biological-technological devices and prostheses). Its flagship product, Wallife Biometrics ID, provides up to EUR 50,000 reimbursement for biometric data fraud and bundles an app offering dark web monitoring, social account recovery, and real-time scanning of links, documents, and QR codes for phishing threats. Policy coverage extends to up to 20 devices per policy, including devices used by family members, children, or colleagues.

Wallife raised a EUR 12M Series A in July 2022 led by United Ventures, ranking seventh in Europe for insurtech Series A value that year. Total raised exceeds EUR 16M across seed, Series A, and a 2026 strategic investment from TIM Ventures (Telecom Italia Group). In April 2026, Wallife launched a consumer digital identity theft product co-distributed through TIM Group channels and underwritten in partnership with Net Insurance (Poste Italiane Group).
