Overview

TradeIn is a trade credit risk and insurance platform for small and mid-sized B2B companies, serving the P&C commercial insurance market. It helps finance teams anticipate and manage the risk of unpaid client invoices.

The platform combines real-time counterparty risk scoring, ongoing client-account monitoring, and treasury forecasting with TradeInsur, a fully digital trade credit insurance product sold under an ORIAS insurance-intermediary registration (No. 18 005 674). The company states that payment-default claims are processed digitally within 30 days. Beyond insurance, the suite includes receivables financing (TradeInFinance), third-party and supplier compliance checks (TradeInConformity, TradeInSupply), and a white-label version (Plug & Go) that partners can embed under their own brand. The platform connects to more than 125 European banks for account aggregation and integrates with accounting software including Sage, QuickBooks, and Xero, alongside iOS and Android apps.

TradeIn is based in Lille, France, and was founded in July 2018 by Jean-Cedric Bekale, joined in 2019 by co-founder Jack-Hermann Ndjim-Mougala. The company has raised approximately USD 2.53M in early-stage funding to date (aggregator-reported figure; no priced-round press release found) and received program support from Google for Startups, including recognition through the Google Black Founders Fund. It has been named to Challenges magazine's list of startups to watch and received a regional financial-innovation award from CCI Grand Lille.
