Overview

UHCTech is a health insurance technology platform for the African market, offering software tools for health maintenance organizations (HMOs), healthcare providers, and individual consumers. The company positions itself around Universal Health Coverage (UHC), building digital infrastructure to connect payers, providers, and patients across the continent.

The platform is delivered as a suite of SaaS products: easyHMO for HMO management, oneProvider for healthcare provider administration, and easyCover, a consumer-facing marketplace for health coverage with installment-based payment options. Together these products address barriers to health insurance adoption in underserved African markets, including affordability, fragmented provider networks, and limited digital access.

In 2025, UHCTech was selected as one of nine Nigerian startups in the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) Partner Ecosystem Program co-run by CcHUB (Co-creation Hub Africa) and the Gates Foundation. The program provides equity-free funding, technical advisory, and product development support. UHCTech has set a goal of onboarding 20 million Africans onto health coverage by 2030.
