Overview

InRisk Labs is a parametric insurance technology platform serving insurers, government programs, and development agencies in India and South Asia. The platform offers more than 15 index-triggered insurance products spanning agriculture, energy, and business sectors, with payouts settling automatically when independently verifiable climate or weather indices cross defined thresholds.

Products are built on AI-driven pricing models, blockchain smart contracts, and geospatial monitoring that draws from institutional data sources including India's IMD, NASA, and ESA. The engine incorporates global climate drivers such as ENSO and the Indian Ocean Dipole to price and monitor risk at the village-to-national scale. Partners access coverage configurations through an API that supports customized product offerings across crop damage, livestock mortality, wind energy output, business revenue loss, and other climate-sensitive exposures.

Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Ahmedabad, InRisk Labs secured seed funding from Bessemer Venture Partners in January 2025. The company has partnered with SBI General Insurance on India's Disaster Risk Transfer and Protection Scheme and counts approximately 10 employees as of April 2026.
