Overview

Turtlemint is an insurance distribution platform for independent insurance advisors and enterprise partners in India. The company operates two distinct business lines: a consumer-facing portal where individuals compare and purchase health, auto, and life insurance, and a B2B platform (TurtlemintPro) where licensed insurance agents manage customers, access multi-carrier product catalogs, and grow their books of business. Founded in 2015 by Dhirendra Mahyavanshi and Anand Prabhudesai, Turtlemint has built one of the largest point-of-sale person (PoSP) networks in India.

The platform integrates with 42 insurance companies, enabling agents to compare products across carriers and complete digital onboarding for customers. Turtlemint also operates Turtlefin, an enterprise SaaS and API infrastructure layer that lets banks, NBFCs, e-commerce platforms, and fintech companies embed insurance products into their own digital journeys. Turtlefin APIs allow insurers to launch new digital products in under 30 days. The company has also expanded into mutual funds distribution (Turtlemint Money) and credit products (Turtlemint Loans).

As of 2025, Turtlemint reports over 160,000 active insurance advisors across 15,000 pin codes in India and approximately 16 million policies sold through the platform. Revenue from operations reached INR 505 crore in FY24. The company filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI and received IPO approval in December 2025, targeting a valuation of USD 1.3-1.5 billion.
