Overview

StarView is a claims technology and geospatial analytics platform for insurance carriers and government emergency response agencies. Founded in 2025 and incubated at I3P (the Innovative Companies Incubator of Politecnico di Torino), the company applies satellite and aerial imagery with AI algorithms to automate weather and disaster damage detection and assessment.

The platform delivers a pay-per-use digital service that converts satellite imagery into structured geospatial data, including affected-area maps, severity classifications, and prioritized resource allocation outputs. It is designed to reduce reliance on manual field inspections by enabling insurers to identify and quantify damage footprints within days of a catastrophic event.

StarView completed a Pre-Seed funding round and participates in the European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre (ESA BIC) Turin program. In 2025, the company joined the Swiss InsurTech Hub and has documented case studies covering Hurricane Helena, Spain floods, and a Florence fuel depot explosion.
