Overview

Spearhead is a claims technology provider for P&C insurers, automotive expert organizations, and fleet operators, focused on digital accident and damage analysis for motor vehicles. Founded in 2015 in Dietlikon, Switzerland, the company offers an AI-based SaaS platform that automates automotive claims workflows by combining telematics data with machine learning and digital damage assessment tools.

DEKRA SE, a global vehicle inspection and certification organization, acquired a 50.1% majority stake in Spearhead in July 2025, following an initial minority investment in 2021. Prior to the acquisition, Spearhead raised approximately USD 14.9M in Series A/B funding from Artemon, MCI Capital, Plug and Play Tech Center, and T.Capital. The company also operates a distribution partnership with T-Systems, a Deutsche Telekom subsidiary, for the European market.
