Cyber insurance for SMBs powered by continuous threat monitoring and real-time risk scoring

Overview

SLING is a cyber insurance platform for small and medium-sized businesses, combining Continuous External Threat Monitoring (CETM) with Cybercrime Threat Intelligence (CTI) to deliver risk-based underwriting for the SMB market. The company was founded in 2021 and is headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The platform performs automated dark web and deep web scanning, external asset discovery, and attack surface mapping across a client organization and its supply chain. A proprietary risk scoring algorithm produces a numeric probability-of-attack score that feeds directly into streamlined underwriting and dynamic premium calculation -- replacing generic industry models with assessments tied to actual exposure.

SLING raised a USD 4M seed round in May 2022 from Maverick Ventures Israel and PEAK6 Strategic Capital, alongside angel investor Amiad Solomon. The company targets the underserved SMB segment where traditional cyber insurance underwriting lacks the granularity to accurately price risk.
