Overview

Safe Security is a cyber risk quantification platform that bridges cybersecurity and insurance. Founded in 2012 by IIT Bombay alumni, the company provides autonomous risk assessment and quantification solutions that enable insurers to make better underwriting decisions and optimize cyber insurance pricing. The platform is used by over 50% of Fortune 500 companies, including T-Mobile, Verizon, Delta, Fannie Mae, Honeywell, and HP.

The core offering is the SAFEInside platform, which uses 100+ agentic workflow templates and 150+ native integrations to deliver real-time cyber risk assessment. The platform combines inside-out telemetry from customer IT environments with autonomous AI workflows to quantify cyber risk in economic terms, enable benchmarking, and support vendor risk assessment. Four solution modules address different insurance use cases: cyber risk quantification, continuous threat exposure management, third-party risk management, and AI security posture management.

Safe Security has raised over USD 170M across multiple funding rounds, including Series B (USD 50M in 2023) and Series C (USD 70M in 2025). Investors include Sorenson Capital, Eight Roads (Fidelity venture arm), Avataar Ventures, and backing from John Chambers, former Cisco CEO.
