Overview
Rolls Software is an insurance comparison and dynamic tariffing platform for insurers, comparison websites, and intermediaries in the Dutch property and casualty market. The company is the trade name of Kooijmans Software B.V., part of the KoenVisser Group, and describes itself as the market leader in the Netherlands for software that compares insurance premiums and policy conditions.
The platform is built around Rolls Webservice, an API that insurers and comparison sites embed to run real-time premium tariffing, condition comparison, and quote generation on their own properties. Around this core service, Rolls offers a companion desktop application for intermediaries, a premium calculation tool, a benchmarking module for tracking product and price positioning against competitors, a web-based quotation system, a policy renewal management tool, and an analytics dashboard. Coverage spans personal auto, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, home contents, buildings, general liability, health, and income protection. In May 2025, Rolls became the first vendor in the market to integrate the SIVI SBI-AFD business-activity code list into its commercial vehicle comparison software, ahead of the code list's nationwide rollout later that year.
Rolls reports more than 3,500 users on its platform and states its webservice is used by 97 percent of Dutch insurers and more than 2,000 active insurance intermediaries. Named customers include ABN AMRO, a.s.r., Centraal Beheer, Allianz Direct, and the comparison sites Independer, Pricewise, and Geld.nl. The company is ISO 27001 certified and runs a support helpdesk it advertises as answering in an average of 10.9 seconds.
