Overview

RISK is a Dutch insurance platform combining distribution, technology, and brokerage services under a single mandate model. Founded in 2000, the company has evolved from a delegated authority broker into a strategic InsurTech platform that serves insurance intermediaries, digital platforms, comparison tools, and insurers across the Netherlands and beyond.

The platform provides integrated insurance, energy, and credit products through a web-based office solution for advisors, complemented by cloud-based REST APIs and embedding capabilities. RISK operates nine specialized business units (including Overstappen.nl, Autoverzekering.nl, and Dyme) and holds underwriting authority from Allianz and other major insurers. The company serves over 600,000 users through its various distribution channels and partnerships.

RISK is backed by PE investor Söderberg & Partners, with total funding of approximately USD 121.6M from 25 investors including Aegon Growth Capital. The company has expanded strategically into mortgages and pensions through acquisitions of Hypotheek.nl and Pensioen.nl in 2024, and acquired the fintech platform Dyme in 2025 to strengthen its consumer financial services offerings.
