RedZone
Intelligent wildfire and natural disaster intelligence for insurance, utilities, and emergency response.
Overview
RedZone provides intelligent wildfire and natural disaster monitoring, risk assessment, and exposure management solutions for insurance carriers, public utilities, emergency responders, and private fire companies across the United States. Founded in 2002 by Clark Woodward, a geographer and volunteer firefighter, and Allison MacCormick, a software programmer, the company has spent over two decades combining expert analysts with machine-learning algorithms for disaster detection, risk quantification, and response.
The company serves the full insurance lifecycle, from underwriting risk scoring through active wildfire response and portfolio-level catastrophe analytics. RedZone has built a reputation for deep domain expertise, blending proprietary probabilistic models, real-time satellite and sensor data, and on-the-ground field teams.
RedZone has participated in the Lloyd's Lab accelerator program and maintains integrations with Duck Creek, Fulcrum, Boomi, and Snowflake. Its RZRisk model has been filed and approved by regulators in Oregon, Montana, and Nevada.
