Pricefox is a Greek insurance comparison brokerage serving individual consumers across Greece. Launched in 2020 as a car insurance comparison site, the platform lets users enter a vehicle registration number to receive real-time quotes from partner insurers in as little as 30 seconds, and has since added home, health, motorcycle, agricultural, truck, and pet insurance lines. Pricefox is licensed as an insurance broker under the supervision of the Bank of Greece and reports more than 500,000 people have compared car insurance prices through the platform, with over 1 million total users of its comparison services.
Alongside insurance, Pricefox compares electricity and natural gas tariffs from most Greek energy providers, positioning the tariff-comparison business as a secondary vertical alongside its founding insurance line. The company states it holds no equity stake in any partner insurer or energy provider, positioning itself as an independent comparison service, and pairs its online comparison engine with a 24/7 agent support team for customers who want assistance completing a purchase. Pricefox targets Greece's largely offline insurance-buying market, where press coverage cites that fewer than 11% of Greeks purchase car insurance online.
Pricefox is backed by ANTENNA GROUP, through its Antenna Digital Ventures arm, and Samlino Group, rather than staged venture funding. In 2021 the company was named to Insurtech Insights' Future50 Europe list of innovative European insurtech startups.
