Overview

Moovon Insure is a premium financing platform for motor insurance brokers, agents, and carriers in Ghana. It offers an API that lets insurance companies and their distribution partners replace lump-sum annual premium payments with pay-as-you-go installment plans for car insurance policyholders.

The platform integrates into an insurer, broker, or agent's existing sales workflow, connecting to multiple insurance partners so that flexible payment options can be embedded at the point of sale rather than requiring a separate financing product. The company positions the offering as a way to make motor insurance more affordable for Ghanaian drivers while helping insurers improve policy uptake and retention.

Moovon works with insurers including NSIA, Sunu, Hollard, Activa, GLICO, and Star Assurance, and reports that more than 7,000 insurance companies, brokers, and agents use its platform. In October 2024, Ghana's National Insurance Commission admitted Moovon Insure to the inaugural cohort of its insurance regulatory sandbox, alongside four other insurtechs, with support from FSD Africa's Bimalab programme, allowing a one-year supervised pilot of its premium-financing product ahead of a full licensing decision.
