Overview

Jump Point AI is an AI workflow automation platform for insurance brokers, targeting commercial insurance operations. The company builds an agentic AI system called Ellie that handles repetitive tasks across broker operations, including email triage, PDF synthesis, and data entry. The platform is designed to work alongside existing systems without requiring replacements, and supports three autonomy levels ranging from recommendations to autonomous execution.

Ellie is delivered as a SaaS platform and covers 12 distinct insurance business functions, from intake and service desk through claims management and agency finance. The platform includes built-in security controls such as activity logging, role-based permissions, and exception routing with human checkpoints to address errors and omissions concerns in brokerage workflows.

Founded in 2024 by Jerry Chien and Yuri Kaplan, the company has deployed with early broker customers and received industry recognition. Jump Point AI won the Carrier/Broker Prize at the InsurTech NY 2025 Startup Competition, a USD 100,000 in-kind award, and was also recognized at the 2025 Global InsurTech Competition.
