Daabo
Insurance infrastructure platform for insurers, fintech lenders, and telecom operators across West Africa
Overview
Daabo is an insurance infrastructure platform serving insurers, fintech lenders, fleet operators, and telecom/MNO partners, primarily across Nigeria and West Africa with stated pan-African and international ambitions. The platform automates the policy lifecycle end to end -- drafting, underwriting, issuance, and renewals -- and processes claims from first notice through settlement, targeting the P&C personal, commercial fleet, and specialty device-protection segments.
Products are delivered through a REST API and a no-code dashboard, with a native mobile SDK covering Python, Node.js, and Go. Core modules include an AI-driven claims engine, a document-AI tool for extracting data from claims and policy forms, QR-code-based device verification, and digital-twin creation for vehicle and fleet verification. A white-label layer lets fintech lenders, telecoms, and retailers embed branded agent portals on top of Daabo's infrastructure, alongside an agent-management module (in active beta) covering recruitment, onboarding, and payouts.
Daabo began as a direct-to-consumer device-protection insurer, Daabo Device Protection, and has since consolidated that consumer product with its B2B infrastructure platform under the getdaabo.com domain; the original daaboinsure.com domain no longer resolves. No confirmed funding round has been identified, and the company reports over 150,018 verified assets processed on the platform to date. Named partners/customers on its site include Aza, Octamile, Prembly, and Woven.
