INSHARE
Risk management and insurance solutions for the sharing economy and gig economy
Overview
InShare is a sharing economy and gig economy MGA that underwrites niche insurance products for platform operators and gig workers, including ride-sharing companies (Uber, Lyft), home-sharing platforms, car-sharing services, and last-mile delivery operators (Amazon DSP). The company operates its own underwriting platform and works through global insurance and reinsurance market partners to place coverage for risks that traditional products have difficulty pricing.
The company's SMART Risk platform supports bespoke program development tailored to sharing economy clients. InShare has underwritten programs for occupational accident insurance for rideshare and gig delivery drivers in partnership with Skyward Specialty Insurance Group, and operates a digital claims platform in partnership with Snapsheet. The company also operates InShare Insurance Services Limited, an FCA-authorized subsidiary (FRN: 965006) headquartered in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, UK, serving European clients.
InShare was founded in 2019 by Mark Warnquist (CEO), Sean Fitzsimmons, and Andy Cohen, who collectively bring over 75 years of insurance industry experience including prior roles at ride-sharing companies. In August 2021 the company closed a USD 7.5M seed round from ManchesterStory Group, The Hive, and Avanta Ventures (a venture arm of CSAA Insurance Group).
