Overview
INIGO INSURANCE is a global specialty insurance and reinsurance company founded in 2020 by veterans of Hiscox -- Richard Watson (former Hiscox Chief Underwriting Officer, 33 years at Hiscox), Russell Merrett (former Hiscox London Market Managing Director), and Stuart Bridges (former Hiscox CFO). The company launched in January 2021 with approximately USD 800 million in capital, backed by CDPQ (la Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec) and other institutional investors.
Inigo uses data, analytics, and technology to turn analysis into insight and insight into action, helping clients understand their risks and make informed decisions. In February 2026, Inigo became part of Radian Group through a USD 1.7 billion acquisition, forming a global multi-line insurance and reinsurance company.
