IGLU Seguros is a digital insurance platform for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and individual consumers in Latin America. Launched by AVLA -- a guarantee and credit insurance group operating across four Latin American countries -- IGLU offers property, home, and pet insurance products through a fully online subscription process.
The platform uses AI-driven underwriting and big data to automate risk assessment and premium calculation, enabling customers to obtain coverage in under seven minutes from any device. Products are offered without paper documentation or in-person requirements, with premiums starting from 12 soles per month for commercial property coverage.
IGLU targets an underserved segment: at launch, fewer than one in five companies in Peru held any insurance coverage. By digitizing the purchase and underwriting process, the platform aims to expand access to the region's 20-plus million SMEs. IGLU operates under the regulatory and underwriting infrastructure of its parent, AVLA Peru Compania de Seguros S.A.
