Overview

HONK Technologies is a roadside assistance technology platform serving insurance carriers, auto clubs, OEMs, fleet operators, and warranty providers across North America. The company digitizes and manages the full roadside dispatch workflow -- from motorist request through service provider assignment, real-time tracking, and payment -- as a B2B platform sold to enterprises that offer roadside benefits to their customers.

The platform connects clients with a nationwide network of over 75,000 service vehicles, covering standard roadside services (towing, battery jump, flat tire, fuel delivery, lockout) as well as specialized support for motorcycles, electric vehicles, and recreational vehicles. HONK also provides accident management, catastrophe event coordination, vehicle logistics, and reimbursement tools for self-service scenarios. The system integrates with insurance platforms, fleet management systems, and automotive OEM environments. Performance metrics include an NPS above 83, a CSAT rating of 4.7, wait times 50% below industry averages, and a complaint rate below 0.5%.

HONK raised USD 32.9 million across three rounds before being acquired by Frontenac, a Chicago-based private equity firm, in April 2026. As part of the same transaction, HONK acquired CurbsideSOS to expand its non-tow service capabilities. Leadership of the combined entity is drawn from the former Grubhub team: Adam DeWitt (CEO), Matt Maloney (Chairman), Eric Ferguson (COO), and Morgan Hughes (CFO).
