Hive Health is a tech-enabled health maintenance organization (HMO) serving small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Philippines. The company offers group health insurance plans that combine digital self-service tools with a wide provider network, targeting employers with as few as 10 employees.
The platform delivers an all-in-one solution for employers and their staff: an HR dashboard for managing enrollment and offboarding, a member portal for LOA requests and claims filing, and integrated teleconsultation services. In 2023, Hive Health acquired Health Plans Philippines, Inc. (HPPI) -- a licensed HMO established in 1986 -- gaining an insurance commission license and access to a network of over 1,700 accredited facilities and 20,000 doctors.
Founded in 2021 by Camille Ang and Jiawen Tang, the company participated in Y Combinator (S21) and raised USD 6.5M in a Pre-Series A round in July 2024 led by Gentree Fund and BEENEXT. Customers include PDAX, InvestEd, and Villgro Philippines, with a reported member rating of 4.9 out of 5.
