Overview

GlobalCare is an insurance distribution and comparison platform for consumers and agents in Vietnam, covering motor, travel, health, personal accident, cyber, and small-business property lines. The company operates GlobalCare.vn, a "one-stop" marketplace that lets consumers compare and purchase products from multiple Vietnamese insurers in a single place, alongside a dedicated health insurance comparison sub-platform.

Distribution runs primarily through a partner and collaborator network of more than 650,000 registered members, supported by sales apps with commission and revenue tracking, white-label and custom app development for insurer partners, an online claims submission tool, contract and policy data-lookup tools, and API integration services that let insurers digitize distribution without building their own technology. GlobalCare also runs a platform connecting insurers with social media influencers for marketing, described as the first of its kind in Vietnam's insurance sector.

The company works with more than 600 business partners and reports over 1 million products sold per month, with 13.5 million-plus contracts issued through its digital platforms in 2023. VinaCapital Ventures invested in a 2021 seed round, and in October 2024 Poni Insurtech -- the international arm of Hong Kong/Singapore-based Huize Holding Limited (NASDAQ: HUIZ) -- became a strategic shareholder and acquired a controlling stake, jointly launching the GlobalCare.vn health comparison sub-platform as Huize's entry into the ASEAN market.
