GBO Cloud
Digital exchange hub connecting insurers and brokers in Belgium and Luxembourg
Overview
GBO Cloud is an insurance data exchange platform for brokers and insurance companies operating in Belgium and Luxembourg. The platform acts as a centralized hub for standardized "blocs retour" -- structured data blocks that insurers transmit to brokers covering policy updates, endorsements, financial statements, and tax documents. By acting as the intermediary layer between 30+ insurers and roughly 1,000 brokers, GBO Cloud eliminates manual communication by phone, email, and paper mail.
The platform delivers its service as a cloud-hosted progressive web application with REST API integrations into all major Belgian broker management software packages -- Brio, Brokercloud, Broker Stars, Cobra, Insusoft, and Sigura. It adheres to the Telebib2 messaging standard used across the Belgian insurance market and uses an EDIFACT conversion engine for insurers not yet able to produce structured data natively. Security certifications include GDPR compliance, CyberFundamentals, and NIS2.
GBO Cloud processes over 100 million production, financial, and damage blocs retour annually. The platform has expanded steadily since 2022, completing integrations with Brokercloud (December 2022), Insusoft (2023), and Brio via Portima (October 2025). Notable insurers on the platform include AG Insurance, Allianz, AXA, Baloise, DKV, Ethias, KBC Verzekeringen, and NN.
