Overview

DARVA is a B2B digital services platform for insurance claims management, operating primarily in the French and European P&C market. The company's platforms connect insurers with their partner networks -- repair shops, independent experts, brokers, and health professionals -- to handle claims processing and electronic data interchange. Its customers are mainly carriers in motor and property lines, and DARVA's systems process more than 7 million insurance claims files per year.

The company develops and operates the Sinapps product family for integrated claims workflows, along with Ofeli (legal electronic invoicing for claims settlements), Orea (digital policy termination), and Idigo (service provider network management). Products are delivered as cloud-hosted platforms and APIs, with EDI services enabling standardized data exchange across insurer and partner systems. Founded in 1988, DARVA is owned by a consortium of French and European insurance groups that joined as shareholders over three waves: founding mutual insurers (GMF, MACIF, MAIF, MATMUT, SMACL), a 2010 expansion (Allianz, AXA, Generali, Groupama, MMA), and a 2017 addition (Abeille Assurances, Smabtp, FSE). The company serves more than 50 insurance organizations and is a Guidewire marketplace partner. DARVA joined French Assurtech in October 2023.
