Overview

Cobee is an employee benefits distribution platform for employers, enabling HR teams at mid-to-large companies to manage and administer flexible compensation packages -- including health insurance and life insurance -- alongside non-insurance benefits through a single dashboard. The platform primarily serves companies in Spain, Portugal, and Mexico. In September 2024, Cobee was acquired by Pluxee, a global employee engagement company, and operates as Cobee by Pluxee.

The platform consolidates over twelve benefit categories -- health insurance, life insurance, meal vouchers, transport passes, childcare, training courses, gym memberships, vehicle leasing, IT equipment, and employee discounts -- into a unified HR admin interface and employee mobile app. Employees access all benefits through a single physical and virtual VISA card. HR teams process bulk changes via CSV synchronization and monitor adoption through real-time analytics dashboards.

Founded in 2019 by Borja Aranguren, Ignacio Travesi, and Daniel Olea, Cobee raised USD 57.5M across Seed, Series A, and Series B rounds from investors including Octopus Ventures, Notion Capital, Balderton Capital, and Speedinvest. Before its acquisition, the company served more than 1,500 employer clients with over 100,000 employee users across three countries.
