Overview

Casey is a submission automation platform for commercial insurance brokers and agencies operating in the P&C market. The company, legally Casey Labs Inc., was founded in 2025 by Nico Hanggi, Pascal Kueng, and Maximilian Thoelen, who previously held senior technical roles at the Swiss insurtech scaleup grape.

The platform takes a broker's raw client and risk data - spreadsheets, emails, PDFs - and converts it into carrier-ready submission packages, filling out ACORD forms, driver lists, vehicle schedules, and loss runs automatically. Multi-agent AI handles subsequent carrier and underwriter follow-up questions by matching them against data already on file, prompting the broker's client only when genuinely new information is required. Casey targets the roughly 39,000 independent US agencies and brokers active in the approximately USD 500 billion commercial P&C market, with the stated aim of shortening submission timelines from over a month to a few days.

Alongside the submission-automation product, Casey operates a direct-to-business insurance marketplace at the same domain, connecting small businesses with a dedicated licensed broker and rate comparisons across more than 100 carriers. Casey went through Y Combinator's F2025 batch and raised a seed round in September 2025.
