Overview
XEMPUS is a digital distribution platform for occupational pension and life insurance, connecting brokers, carriers, and employers across Germany and Europe. Founded in 2007 as xbAV, the company rebranded to XEMPUS and built a platform that standardizes how group pension (bAV) and life insurance products are distributed between insurers, agents, and corporate clients.
The platform delivers four products: XEMPUS Advisor for broker consulting workflows, XEMPUS Manager for employer benefit administration, XEMPUS Customer Connect for insurer-branded employee and employer portals, and XEMPUS Platform as an API integration layer connecting all ecosystem participants. Delivery is SaaS-based with an open modular architecture, RESTful interfaces, and ISO 27001 certification. The system integrates with broker management systems, insurer platforms, and employer HR systems, and supports AI-ready infrastructure for analytics and automation.
XEMPUS processes over 100,000 new policies annually through the platform, with 18,000 insurance agents and 60,000 corporates as active users. Insurer customers include Allianz, AXA, Zurich, Generali, HDI, and ERGO, among others. The company has raised USD 125M across four rounds, including a USD 70M Series D in 2022 led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management and InfraVia Capital Partners.
