Carfix
Digital motor claims management platform for insurance carriers and leasing companies
Overview
Carfix is a claims technology SaaS platform serving insurance carriers, leasing companies, brokers, auto dealers, and repair shops in Central and Eastern Europe. The platform digitizes motor insurance claims management and vehicle administration, connecting all parties in the auto claims process through a single online ecosystem.
The platform uses AI computer vision to automate damage recognition from photos, enabling online FNOL submission and reducing claims processing time from hours or days to minutes. Core capabilities include document management for CASCO and MTPL policies, appointment scheduling with partner repair shops, risk inspection coordination, and a configurable authorization workflow. The platform is delivered as a multi-tenant SaaS solution with API integrations into carrier and partner systems.
Founded in 2019 and launched commercially in Romania in April 2021, Carfix serves approximately 150 companies as of 2025. The company expanded into the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary through a partnership with LKQ CEE, a regional auto parts distributor. Investors include Autonom (a strategic investor since 2020), InnovX BCR Accelerator, and Catalyst Romania, which led a EUR 1.25M investment in 2025 to support international expansion.
