Cannasure Insurance Services, a subsidiary of One80 Intermediaries
Specialist cannabis and hemp MGA providing comprehensive coverage for the legal cannabis industry since 2010
Overview
Cannasure Insurance Services is a full-service wholesale broker and Managing General Agent (MGA) created exclusively to serve the cannabis and hemp industry. Founded in 2010 by Patrick McManamon after he identified a significant gap in qualified insurance expertise for cannabis businesses, Cannasure became a pioneer in providing comprehensive, affordable coverage for legal cannabis operations across the United States.
In February 2021, One80 Intermediaries -- a portfolio company of Risk Strategies, backed by Kelso & Company private equity -- acquired Cannasure, expanding One80's cannabis and hemp practice nationally. Cannasure continues to operate under its own brand as a subsidiary of One80, maintaining its specialized team and exclusive focus on the cannabis sector.
Cannasure serves all segments of the cannabis supply chain: cultivators, dispensaries, extractors, processors, infused product manufacturers, testing laboratories, landlords leasing to cannabis tenants, and ancillary businesses supporting the industry.
