Overview

Bimma is an embedded insurance provider that sells purchase-protection coverage to e-commerce merchants in Spain.

The company's sole product, Reintegro Seguro, is a 12-month policy that reimburses an online shopper's purchase price if the buyer loses their job, experiences prolonged work incapacity, or is hospitalized for seven or more consecutive days within a year of the purchase. Merchants add the policy to checkout through a free WooCommerce or PrestaShop plugin, or through a custom API integration, at no implementation cost. Bimma manages the policy lifecycle end to end, including claims handling, in partnership with licensed Spanish insurer Preventiva Seguros, and pays merchants a revenue-share commission on each policy sold.

Founded in 2021 and based in Madrid, Bimma launched Reintegro Seguro in April 2022, drawing coverage from Spanish insurance trade press including SegurosNews, Inese, and Grupo Aseguranza, which described the product as one of the first of its kind in the European market. The company operates with a small team (1-10 employees per LinkedIn) and has not disclosed external funding.
