Overview

MDGo is an accident detection and response (ADR) technology provider for the auto insurance industry. Originally founded as Endovitech in 2017 by emergency physician Itay Bengad, the company rebranded to MDGo and is headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel. It sells to auto insurers, OEMs, fleet operators, and emergency response organizations on a B2B basis.

The company's ADR platform uses AI and machine learning models -- trained on crash biomechanics and emergency medical datasets -- to analyze vehicle sensor data in real time. Within approximately seven seconds of a collision, the system generates a First Notice of Loss (FNOL) report that includes injury severity predictions and a vehicle damage assessment, and simultaneously transmits the data to insurers and first responders. The platform integrates with existing vehicle infrastructure: OEM e-call systems, telematics dongles, and a proprietary solar-powered windshield tag for vehicles without onboard connectivity.

MDGo closed a Series A round of USD 13M in December 2020, led by MS&AD Ventures, with participation from Volvo Cars Tech Fund and J-Ventures, bringing total raised to approximately USD 17M. Strategic investors include Hyundai Motor Company, Nationwide, Bessemer Venture Partners, Plug and Play Insurtech, and Target Global. European insurer deployments have reached over 35,000 policyholders, with a 94 percent proactive loss management rate. In Israel, the technology was validated against approximately 250,000 vehicles, achieving 100 percent accident reporting accuracy and 92 percent injury projection accuracy.

Products & Services

ADR Platform

MDGo's core product is an accident detection and response platform that connects to existing vehicle sensors, telematics devices, or OEM e-call systems. Upon detecting a collision, the platform runs AI analysis to produce an FNOL report with injury severity estimates and vehicle damage data, then dispatches alerts to the insurer and emergency services simultaneously.

Key Features

  • Real-time crash detection and automated FNOL generation within ~7 seconds of impact
  • AI-based injury severity prediction (type and probability)
  • Objective vehicle damage assessment
  • Simultaneous notification to insurer and first responders
  • No new vehicle hardware required when using OEM connectivity or telematics dongles

Target Users: Auto insurers, fleet operators, OEMs, emergency dispatch organizations

ADR Tag (Hardware Sensor)

A solar battery-powered windshield sensor for vehicles without native connectivity. The device activates only on collision impact -- not during normal operation -- and transmits accident data to the cloud for analysis and emergency response. No app installation or continuous monitoring is involved.

Key Features

  • Passive operation (no continuous tracking)
  • Solar-powered, no battery replacement required
  • Cloud-connected for real-time accident data transmission

Target Users: Auto insurers deploying to policyholders without OEM telematics

FNOL API

A REST API enabling insurance claims platforms to receive automated FNOL reports from the MDGo ADR platform. Designed to integrate into existing claims management workflows.

Key Features

  • Automated pre-populated FNOL data at time of loss
  • Supports claims leakage reduction and fraud detection
  • Accelerates claims settlement timelines

Target Users: Auto insurance carriers, TPAs

Sensa Insurance (US Subsidiary)

Sensa is a consumer-facing auto insurance brand launched by MDGo in Illinois in February 2022, distributing through independent agents. Policies use MDGo sensor technology; upon accident detection, Sensa specialists coordinate emergency response and initiate the claims process using pre-populated sensor data. The brand's current market status is uncertain.

Key Features

  • Proactive accident response and claims initiation
  • Distribution via independent agents

Target Users: US personal auto insurance consumers
