Founded in 2017 by Vincent Lau and Paul Rivera, Maria Health has grown to insure over 500 companies and small businesses, covering more than 12,200 members. The company has raised USD 1.65M across four rounds, with Insular Life -- the largest Filipino insurer -- leading the Series A in November 2021 and taking a board seat. Additional investors include Wavemaker Partners, tryb Group, Celo Foundation, and Gobi Partners.
