Folio.Insure is a broker management platform for insurance advisers, combining CRM, document management, and workflow automation into a single integrated system. The company was founded in 2020 by Roneel Kumar and Alistair Monk after the pair met through the New Zealand insurtech ecosystem, with the product incubated within Cognitiv NZ Ltd before launching commercially in mid-2021.

The platform delivers SaaS-based tools that automate the full insurance advice cycle -- covering new business, endorsements, renewals, and claims workflows. Core capabilities include a purpose-built insurance CRM (FolioCRM), automated document generation for statements of advice and policy schedules, an email filer that routes correspondence to client records, and an AI module for document data extraction and fact-find summarization. The platform integrates with INSIGHT policy ledger, Microsoft Office 365, and Outlook.

Folio serves insurance brokerages across New Zealand and Australia. In August 2025, the company separated its technology and broking divisions: its broker network was acquired by Community Broker Network (CBN) of Australia to form CBN NZ, while Folio retained full ownership of its software platform. The company was named the 2025 ANZIIF New Zealand Insurtech Startup of the Year.
