Overview
EvoSure was a commercial insurance technology company founded in 2012 by Matt Foran (CEO) and Brian Wood (COO) in Austin, Texas. The company built RiskPlace, an online marketplace connecting commercial insurance brokers and underwriters for specialty and surplus lines transactions. The platform used algorithm-driven risk appetite matching to help brokers efficiently find the right underwriting markets for hard-to-place risks.
EvoSure was acquired by Applied Systems (through its IVANS division) in September 2015, with the integration completing in 2016. Its core technology was absorbed into IVANS Market Appetite, a search engine and matching platform for P&C agents and brokers to identify carriers appetite for commercial risks within the broader Applied Systems ecosystem.
The company was a recognized innovator in the commercial insurance space, having been selected as a finalist for the SXSW Accelerator Competition in 2014. EvoSure no longer operates as an independent company; its marketplace matching technology continues to serve the commercial insurance industry through IVANS Insurance Solutions.
