Overview

BrokerBusiness is a B2B SaaS consulting and comparison platform for independent insurance brokers in Switzerland. The platform enables brokers to structure client advisory sessions, compare products across insurers, and generate professional documentation -- serving the Swiss SME insurance market.

The platform is delivered as a cloud-hosted web application built on PHP, JavaScript, Nginx, and MySQL, with all infrastructure hosted within Switzerland. Key capabilities include intelligent determination of relevant insurance topics for a given client, standardised consultation workflows, semi-automatic product comparison across 24 insurance sectors, and automatic generation of consultation reports and policy excerpt PDFs. The system integrates with leading Swiss broker management platforms including Bayo, BrokerStar (WMC IT Solutions), and WinVS Next, and is piloting automated data exchange via the EcoHub/SAF industry standard infrastructure.

As of 2025, BrokerBusiness serves more than 80 insurance brokers and consulting firms across Switzerland -- approximately doubling from the ~40 customers recorded at the time of a strategic investment by Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich Schweiz) in June 2021. The company holds the Swiss Made Software label and maintains platform neutrality through ownership structure rules that cap any single insurer, broker, or software vendor to no more than one-third ownership.
