Overview
Trailblazer Technology is a core administration platform provider for small and mid-sized property and casualty insurers, including carriers, mutuals, self-insured groups, and MGAs. The company addresses a gap in the market: more than USD 100 billion in U.S. P&C premium is written by smaller insurers, yet major core-system vendors do not offer software tailored to this segment.
The platform is delivered as a true multi-tenant cloud solution built on serverless microservices. Its modular design covers the full policy lifecycle -- policy administration, rating, billing, claims, a customer and agent portal, and analytics -- and is designed to be configurable by insurance professionals without programming skills. Individual modules can be adopted standalone or integrated with existing systems.
Founded in 2016 by Aaron Shapiro, an insurance technology executive with over two decades of industry experience, Trailblazer received seed funding from ManchesterStory in 2022. The company employs approximately 19 people as of early 2026 and targets a customer base that established vendors have historically underserved.
