Tinubu
Cloud SaaS platform for specialty insurance: trade credit, surety, and political risk.
Overview
Tinubu is a core administration and underwriting platform for specialty insurance carriers, brokers, and agents, focused on trade credit, surety/bonds, and political risk lines. Founded in 2000 in Paris as Tinubu Square, the company rebranded to Tinubu and now serves approximately 50 carriers and 150+ brokers and agents across more than 30 countries on five continents.
The platform covers the full specialty insurance lifecycle -- policy administration, underwriting, distribution, and claims -- delivered as multi-tenant cloud SaaS. A headless API suite (Tinubu Developer Experience / TDX) enables integration with carrier systems, agency management platforms, and third-party data sources. In 2025 and 2026, the company expanded into agentic AI, launching an AI-native underwriting platform with autonomous agents for submission triage, document ingestion, financial analysis, and risk scoring. The same period saw the acquisition of Innoveo, a no-code enterprise software provider, to support new-line launches across cyber, marine, A&H, and aviation.
Tinubu serves 1,500+ customers globally, with 30 of the top 60 global credit and surety underwriters and 77% of the top 30 US surety underwriters on the platform. In May 2025, the company raised USD 45M in a growth round led by Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital and Long Arc Capital, bringing total funding to USD 147M.
