Overview

Segic is a group benefits administration SaaS platform serving insurance companies, brokers, TPAs, unions, and employers in Canada. The platform handles the full group plan lifecycle from plan design and enrollment through billing and member engagement.

Built on Microsoft Azure as a multi-tenant SaaS solution with Azure B2C authentication, the platform offers consolidated billing, auto-enrollment, and separate portals for plan administrators and participants. A commission management module supports brokers and distribution partners, and an integrated benefits marketplace connects plan members with partner products across wellness, legal, financial, pet health, and lifestyle categories.

Founded in 2015 by Danny Boulanger, Segic operates on a bootstrapped basis and has grown its marketplace ecosystem to eight integration partners as of 2025, including GoKlaim for automated wellness reimbursements and Neolegal serving over 200,000 users.
