Overview

Pace is an AI operations platform for insurance carriers and brokers. The platform deploys AI agents that navigate internal applications, extract data from documents, and handle phone and email communications to automate back-office workflows traditionally outsourced to business process outsourcers (BPOs). Use cases include submission intake, policy servicing, first notice of loss (FNOL), claims handling, and data entry.

The platform converts standard operating procedures into what Pace calls Agent Operating Procedures (AOPs) -- natural language workflow definitions that AI agents execute end-to-end. The system uses multimodal document processing, integrations with carriers' existing systems of record (via API and direct interaction), agent memory for continuous improvement, and pre-built AOPs for common insurance tasks. The platform is delivered as SaaS with API-based integrations into carrier and broker back-office systems.

Pace was founded in 2024 by CEO Jamie Cuffe and raised a USD 10M Series A from Sequoia Capital in January 2026. The company serves major carriers including Prudential Financial, The Mutual Group, and Newfront, as well as specialty insurers Palomar and RYZE Claim Solutions. As of early 2026, the platform has processed hundreds of thousands of submissions and tens of thousands of claims in production.
