Overview

OpenC is a core administration software vendor for insurers, brokers, MGAs, and coverholders in the P&C insurance market. Based in Breda, Netherlands, the company builds tailor-made client management, quotations, and back-office administration software rather than a fixed off-the-shelf product.

OpenC develops its applications on the Claris (FileMaker) no-code/low-code platform, becoming a certified Claris reseller and partner in 2023 and building on Claris FileMaker Pro, Claris Connect, and Claris Studio. The product line spans a lighter front-office tier for customer management and quotations, a fuller-featured tier covering specialized insurance products, and fully bespoke builds for clients with non-standard product lines. In 2024 the company extended its offering to serve inspection companies alongside its core insurance client base.

OpenC operates as a small, independent shop with a team of 1-10 people and no external funding rounds identified. Founder Remco van Buren received the Claris Rising Star Award for 2024, announced in March 2025. Solarif Group, an international B2B solar-panel insurer, is a publicly cited customer.
