National Flood Services
Flood insurance technology and services for carriers, agents, and WYO programs
Overview
National Flood Services (operating as Taurus Flood under Taurus, LLC) is a flood insurance technology and services provider for P&C carriers, Write-Your-Own (WYO) programs, agents, and property owners in the United States. The company manages over 2.4 million flood policies representing approximately USD 2 billion in annual flood insurance premiums, making it one of the largest flood insurance servicers in the country.
The company offers a cloud-based SaaS platform suite built on AWS, covering the full insurance lifecycle from quoting and underwriting through policy administration, claims management, billing, and regulatory reporting. Its flagship platform, Odyssey, is a configurable multi-product system supporting both flood and broader P&C lines. An earlier flood-specific processing tool, Trident, covers purchasing, underwriting, management, and servicing of NFIP-aligned policies. Both platforms include consumer, agent, and carrier portals.
Originally founded in 1985 as a technology company and later operated as Aon National Flood Services, the business was acquired by Chicago-based private equity firm PEAK6 Investments LP in August 2018. The company operates under the Taurus, LLC umbrella alongside Global Fund Solutions, LLC, with offices across the US (Kalispell MT, Overland Park KS, Tampa FL, Washington DC) and internationally in Colombia, India, and the Philippines. As of 2026, the company serves 22 insurance brands and 92,000+ active platform users, and its roadmap includes LATAM market expansion.
