Overview

Flock Benefits Administration, by Paychex, is a cloud-based benefits enrollment and administration platform originally founded in San Francisco in 2015 by Chirag Bhatt and Raj Singh. Designed to eliminate the complexity of employee benefits administration, the platform provides a modern, intuitive experience for employers, employees, and insurance brokers managing group health, dental, vision, retirement, and ancillary benefits.

In October 2021, Paychex acquired Flock and rebranded the product as Flock Benefits Administration, by Paychex, integrating it into the Paychex Flex ecosystem. This acquisition extended Paychex Flex payroll and HR capabilities with a dedicated benefits administration layer, enabling seamless data flow between benefits enrollment and payroll processing for small and midsize businesses.

The platform serves as a centralized hub where brokers manage multiple employer clients and employees self-enroll in and manage their benefits, with real-time EDI and API connections to major insurance carriers including The Hartford and Guardian Life Insurance.
