Overview

FDC (Forsikringens Datacenter A/S) is a core administration platform provider serving insurance carriers and pension funds across Scandinavia. Founded in 1965 through collaboration among Danish insurance companies, the company specializes in wall-to-wall SaaS systems for the full lifecycle of life and pension, non-life, and health insurance products. Its primary markets are Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.

The company delivers two principal SaaS platforms -- F2100 Life & Pension and F2100 Non-Life & Health -- built on component-based architecture designed for configurability across complex product lines. Both platforms cover policy administration, claims handling, billing, customer self-service portals, financial management, and third-party integrations with regulatory data sources such as civil registration (CPR), motor registries (DMR), NETS, and PensionsKontoRegisteret (PKR) in Norway. FDC also offers business consulting, development services, and an FDigital initiative focused on customer journey digitization.

Acquired by Total Specific Solutions (TSS), a subsidiary of Canadian public company Constellation Software Inc. (TSX: CSU), in January 2018, FDC operates autonomously within TSS's decentralized portfolio of over 85 European software companies. The platform manages more than 7 million policies across the Nordic region, with named clients including Gjensidige, Storebrand, Frende, and SpareBank1.
