Overview

Faktor Zehn is a core insurance software provider for carriers in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and broader Europe. Founded in 2004 in Munich as a specialist in insurance IT, the company offers an integrated suite covering product management, policy administration, quotation, claims, and partner management. Clients include carriers across all lines of business -- property, liability, life, health, and commercial lines.

The Faktor Zehn Suite is built on a JEE service-oriented architecture with REST API integration points, supporting both on-premise and SaaS deployment models. Individual components such as Faktor-IPS (product and tariff configuration), Faktor-IPM (policy administration), Faktor-ICS (claims management), and Faktor-IOS (omnichannel quotation) operate as standalone modules or as an end-to-end platform. The development tooling layer (Faktor-IPS open-source platform) is maintained separately to allow actuaries and product managers to configure insurance products without custom coding.

Faktor Zehn has completed more than 50 implementations across over 20 insurance clients, including six of the ten largest German carriers. Since 2012 the company has operated as part of the ConVista Consulting AG group, which provides implementation and consulting services alongside the software platform. A 2026 deployment for DEVK Versicherungen migrated approximately 635,000 building insurance contracts to Faktor-IPM, reflecting the scale at which the platform operates.
