Overview

DBX is a core-administration and claims platform provider for P&C insurers, MGAs, brokers, and claims/assistance providers, built around its flagship product MOBY. Based in Budapest, Hungary, the company has built insurance-specific software since 2003, working primarily with Hungarian and regional financial institutions.

MOBY is a modular, browser-based system covering policy and contract lifecycle management, claims processing, partner management, commission management, and financial administration in a single platform. It is delivered as SaaS or as infrastructure-as-a-service, priced on a usage basis with no separate licensing or hardware costs, and exposes webservices for third-party integration. DBX also builds HAMMY, a multi-channel customer-communication product that generates and archives documents and delivers them by email, post, and other channels, and MOBY-IaaS, a white-label bundle of MOBY, HAMMY, and custom client portals. The technology stack spans Java, Kotlin, .NET, and PostgreSQL, running on a Docker/Kubernetes, Linux-based cloud-native architecture.

DBX lists more than 20 Hungarian financial and insurance-sector clients, including Allianz, Generali, Uniqa, and Groupama. No funding rounds have been publicly disclosed by the company; a single web search surfaced an unconfirmed early-stage figure attributed to Focus Ventures and Hiventures that could not be independently corroborated on DBX's own site or in a second source, so it is not treated as fact here.
