Overview

Cincom Systems is a global enterprise software company founded in 1968 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The company name is a portmanteau of "Cincinnati" and "computer." Over more than five decades, Cincom has delivered enterprise software solutions across customer communications management (CCM), configure-price-quote (CPQ), and application development platforms. The company serves insurers, financial services firms, manufacturers, and government agencies worldwide.

In June 2024, founder Tom Nies retired after 56 years as CEO -- the longest-tenured actively serving CEO in the computer industry -- and Cincom was acquired by PartnerOne Capital, a Canada-based enterprise software firm. Brian Bish, who had served as Managing Director at Cincom for over 30 years, was appointed CEO following the acquisition.

Cincom's Eloquence CCM platform is its primary insurance-focused offering, providing document generation, policy communications, and omnichannel customer communication capabilities for P&C, life, and health insurers. The company also offers CPQ solutions for complex sales and quoting scenarios.
