Overview
Appsure is a core administration platform for insurance companies, serving carriers, specialty insurers, and general insurers across Australia and South Africa. The platform covers the full insurance lifecycle -- from quoting and policy issuance through to claims management and billing -- within a single cloud-hosted system. Founded in 2012 by Mark Hutson, who brings over 25 years of insurance industry experience, the company operates primarily in the APAC and EMEA markets.
The platform is built on Microsoft Azure and delivered as a cloud-native SaaS solution with a microservices architecture and RESTful APIs for integration with existing insurer systems. Key modules include a dynamic quote-and-bind engine, policy administration, claims processing with automated workflows and fraud detection, flexible billing, analytics via Power BI integration, and an integration layer for third-party connections. The system supports general insurance, specialty insurance, and life insurance products.
