Overview

Alpaca Vietnam is a core insurance system provider for non-life carriers in Vietnam, with a stated ambition to extend its platform to insurers across emerging Asian markets. The company was established in 2020 on the team and technology base of its predecessor, Unicorn Solutions, founded in 2014, and maintains offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

Alpaca builds core modernization software covering the non-life policy lifecycle: quotation, policy administration, claims management, reinsurance, product management, CRM, finance and accounting, and reporting. Alongside the platform, the company offers IT and digital-transformation strategy advisory and staff-augmentation engineering teams for insurer-led IT projects.

TPIsoftware Corporation, a Taiwan-based software company focused on AI and digital transformation, acquired Alpaca in January 2025. In November 2025, Alpaca signed a memorandum of understanding with Viet Digital Investment Joint Stock Company (VDI) to jointly build a domestic digital insurance platform for the Vietnamese market. Its client base includes non-life insurers such as Bao Long, BSH, ABIC, and GIC.
